Matt Hardy recently announced on social media that he has likely competed in his final match and won’t be coming back to the ring. Hardy’s sudden retirement came earlier this year as a result of several injuries that he has sustained over the course of his long career. This is certainly disappointing news for all of the fans who have followed Hardy throughout his career, but it does not look like he will be going away just yet. Fans of the “Broken/Woken” gimmicks that Matt Hardy utilized in Impact Wrestling and in WWE earlier this year will be thrilled to learn that the entire Hardy family from the “Broken Universe” appears to be returning to the WWE Network as part of a very special project that WWE is working on at the moment.
According to a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is about to begin filming a pilot for a new show at The Hardy Compound right now in early October. This comes just moments after Hardy teased on Twitter that a new “Broken Universe” special would be coming out soon. Also, a survey sent out by WWE asking fans which possible shows they’d be interested in seeing from a few weeks ago had a “House Hardy: Halloween Special” option on the list of choices. The report mentions that this show featuring Hardy is merely a pilot at the moment and has not been greenlit for a complete series. No word on when the special will be released, but expect to see Hardy reprise his “Woken” character in the near future.

It was announced earlier this week that Tessa Blanchard will be defending the Impact Knockouts Championship against Faby Apache this week, but another huge match has just been announced for the upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling. In addition to the Knockouts title defense, Impact this week will be headlined by a tag team match pitting the promotion’s biggest stars against each other. The match will see Johnny Impact & Eddie Edwards team up to face the duo of Moose & Killer Kross. The main event for the show was announced by the promotion on Twitter yesterday. It certainly does seem like this week’s episode of Impact won’t be one that fans will want to miss, and it all happens on Pop TV this Thursday.
