It was revealed on Raw that Kurt Angle will be the leader of Team Raw for one of the elimination matches at Survivor Series. Smackdown will be hosting a series of matches to determine participants for their team later tonight. Despite this, PWInsider has learned the remaining members of both teams. Angle is reportedly being joined by Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, and Samoa Joe. Roman Reigns is also expected to return from his illness and join the Raw team. On the Smackdown side, Randy Orton will be leading his team of Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and AJ Styles. The remaining participants are expected to be officially announced by WWE shortly.
Nikki Bella has stepped away from the wrestling ring in recent weeks to focus on a run on Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Nikki and her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, had been doing fairly well on the current season of the show, and last week’s performance even received a season-high score from the judges. She and Vanessa Lachey were both eliminated from last night’s show due to a surprising double elimination. Nikki performed a Halloween-themed dance, but it was not enough to keep her on the show. Nikki Bella lasted seven weeks on the show before being cut this week. Nikki will now be appearing in the upcoming season of Total Divas.
Raw recently featured a ton of returning superstars, but some may have noticed a segment on the show wherein Alexa Bliss asked Kurt Angle if he would be interested in acquiring some new talent for Raw, and then promptly cut Mickie James from the roster. While this may have seemed like a throwaway line from Bliss in an attempt to get rid of her rival Mickie James, perhaps there is more to it than that. NXT women’s wrestler Liv Morgan released a tweet after Bliss claimed that she wanted to face new talent, perhaps teasing that she will be leaving NXT and joining the Raw roster very soon.
New talent on RAW, huh ? ??
